About MyColorado

Community Shares of Colorado is launching a new program, MyColorado, to engage young people (aged 25-39) in philanthropy, nonprofit board service, and community involvement. The purpose of MyColorado is to better address the needs and interests of young, entry-level donors starting in the Denver Metro region, eventually having a statewide outreach. Through leveraging the extraordinary accessibility and cost-efficiently provided by online communication and automatic financial transactions, we believe young donors giving less than $500 per year are a compelling and underserrved audience. Rather than following the traditional fundraising model of seeking a gift from those with means, MyColorado proposes offering young people the means to give.
